Last Friday, I ordered a Romoss 20,000 mAh powerbank and a set of Smatree batteries for my SJCam 5000+ from Lazada. Since a majority of their items are sold at retail prices as well, I thought online shopping was the way to go. Honestly, though, I'm just really lazy to go out and buy the items myself. Ang traffic kaya, all day, every day.

Anyway, I like that Lazada now has automated texts letting me know about the status of my orders and when I can expect to receive them. So last Saturday, apart from the automated texts, I also received a call from the delivery guy letting me know that he was on his way to deliver my item and later on, he also texted me that he was nearby so I was able to come out and wait for him in front of our gate. Talk about efficiency!

The only peeve I had was that I only received the powerbank and not the action cam batteries. Apparently, Lazada does not have the option to group orders together so my other item will have to be delivered at a different date. More on this in a separate post.

I didn't expect the Romoss powerbank to be so huge! Haha. I already have a 10,000 mAh Yoobao powerbank that I usually use when I travel but this is usually passed along other family members when they need to leave the house and forget to charge their gadgets. So I thought of getting a new one since it was also on sale at Php999 only.

Here's how it looked like compared to my old Yoobao powerbank:

Pros:

• It charges quicker than when my phone is charging via the charging dock/cable 
• It turns off automatically after the phone is charged at 100%, which makes overcharging a non-issue
• It has 2 outgoing usb ports so you can charge 2 gadgets at a time 
• 20,000 mAh charging power 
• Backlit LCD shows the % of charging power left. Backlight also dims after a 5 seconds 
• When unplugging the usb charging connector, the LCD display will be turned off after 1 minute.
• Came with a free canvas gadget pouch (not for the powerbank -it's too small and may fit a 5" screen mobile phone instead)

Cons:

• It is waaay heavier than Yoobao but has twice the charging capacity.
• The glass on the LCD screen is made of cheap material that scratches very easily. 
• Charging time takes  approximately 13 hours after device is fully emptied
• It is bulky
